Economic Well-being
In 2023, the Fund launched the integration of its education, economic security, and safety net grantmaking in the Economic Well-being program. Building on the synergy of these programs, Economic Well-being grantmaking supports the health and self-determination of youth and adults in Oakland and San Francisco by centering youth, transforming conditions, and funding nonprofits to win. The program includes youth-led grantmaking, policy grants, and the Endeavor Fund.
Centering youth
Possibility Grants, led by youth, who are deciding for themselves and our collective future.
Transforming conditions
Policy Grants support the systems that allow possibility and well-being to thrive.
Funding nonprofits to win
The Endeavor Fund provides meaningful long-term support for nonprofits to win at scale; champions that nonprofit jobs can be quality, empowering jobs across the sector; and shines a light on big bets and bold commitments that institutional philanthropy can make.
To endeavor is to take earnest and industrious effort sustained over time while exploring and reimagining the world.
