| Description | Artist Magnet Justice Alliance is partnering with opera singer and vocal mentor, Brianna Sinclairé, to develop a new, Afrofuturism-themed, immersive headphone opera, GO2 WILDERNESS, to premiere at the SF Ferry Building in 2027. Sinclairé is collaborating with composer, Tyshawn Sorey, and librettist, Douglas Kearney, to develop Kearney’s libretto into a full-length chamber opera. GO2 WILDERNESS explores an alternate reality in which the transatlantic slave trade is reimagined as an intergalactic fortress, and rather than enslaved peoples, the African characters are reimagined as technologically superior beings. |
