RADAR Productions produces literary happenings in the Bay Area and beyond, giving queer and outside writers and artists a voice. Its SHOW US YOUR SPINES writers’ residency in the San Francisco Public Library’s James C. Hormel Center helps link queer and transgender writers of color connect to their history. Selected writers meet with the Center’s collections librarian, who helps find materials to advance their research. Writing emerging from this project gets shared during free public performances, where both writers and audiences represent a mix of gender identities, sexual preferences, races, ethnicities, and ages.
