| Description | Z Space is a laboratory for the development of new works of performing art. Its Word for Word ensemble is known for its process of transforming poems and stories verbatim into compelling staged pieces. Based on Word for Word’s distinctive process, Z Space’s Youth Arts program empowers students to read, adapt, and perform written texts while gaining literacy, team-building, and social skills. The program reaches approximately 700 Bay Area youth annually, improving their social awareness, developing their creative expression, and increasing their self-confidence. |
