| Description | The Walter & Elise Haas Fund is the sole supporter of the San Francisco Unified School District’s Principals for the Arts professional development program. This program promotes arts education by helping principals to better understand how arts study benefits students and by allotting time for principals to design and manage arts programs. The first two years of this initiative were received well. In the 2013-14 academic year, the SFUSD’s Visual and Performing Arts department will continue working with alumnae from the first two program years, learning from ideas currently being tested at school sites. The initiative also will complete a program evaluation in 2014-15. |
