| Description | Serving as a cultural center for the region’s exiled Tibetan community, the Tibetan Association of Northern California produces festivals, hosts special guests, and manages a school teaching language and performing arts to Tibetan youth. In April 2018, the Association purchased a three-story building in Richmond and began renovations so that it could increase its programming in a permanent space. The Fund provides the Tibetan Association with support so it can complete renovations and create a welcoming center for Tibetan cultural and educational gatherings in the Bay Area. |
