CounterPulse provides space and guidance to performing artists, aiding them in the development of new works. It presents regular performances and maintains a generous “no one turned away for inability to pay,” box office policy. Due to an immediate threat of displacement from its rental space, CounterPulse is moving to a more expansive new location. When the new space, now under construction, is complete, its opening will benefit CounterPulse, all those who make use of its facilities and programming, and City Hall in its push to revive the central Market Street area.
