| Description | Internationally acclaimed Zaccho Dance Theatre creates innovative works from its studio in Bayview-Hunters Point and provides free dance classes to neighborhood public schools. In 2014, Zaccho is transforming its studio into the Center for Dance and Aerial Arts in order to increase its community offerings. This new Center will serve as the dance company’s rehearsal site as well as a venue for neighborhood activities. In 2015, Zaccho will offer an expanded education program, free performances, and half-priced classes in dance and conditioning to anyone who lives in Bayview-Hunters Point—a low-income community with few theaters or community arts spaces. |
