| Description | Z Space hosts Word for Word, an ensemble of actors who perform works of literature word-for-word. Its methods for analyzing a story for performance have proven effective in engaging reluctant readers’ imaginations, building fluency. During the project year, Word for Word conducts professional development workshops and leads classroom programs in San Francisco and Oakland that benefit an estimated 750 students. In 2016, Word for Word focuses on soliciting feedback from teaching artists and teachers in order to refine its programs. |
