| Description | Youth Radio’s widely praised journalism and youth-development program works with approximately 300 students each year. Recently it opened a youth arts center that hosts Remix Your Life, a place where participants can continue to write pieces, play music, and hang out after class. Over time, the center developed as a safe place for students to study and create in a more structured fashion. Students are encouraged to sign up for three months of classes followed by three months of creating performances, murals, and other projects. An estimated 100 students take part in Remix Your Life each year. |
