| Description | Youth Art Exchange (formerly Out of Site) offers intensive visual and performing arts classes to 300 high school students after school annually. As a result of the program, young artists devised a cultural plan for the Outer Mission / Ingleside area, built a parklet on Mission Street, and exhibited their work at sites including Rayco Color Lab and the Mission Cultural Center. Youth Art Exchange’s new director continues to sustain the program’s rigorous classes and is adding professional development for its teaching artists, further strengthening arts education in San Francisco. |
