| Description | Young Musicians Choral Orchestra provides free after-school, weekend, and summer music training to low-income youth of color, most of whom live in the East Bay. This music instruction is enhanced by performance opportunities, academic tutoring, transportation, counseling, meals, and other services. Over more than 25 years, every graduate of the Young Musicians Choral Orchestra program has gone on to a college, university, or music conservatory — many with substantial scholarships. In 2018-19, the organization will increase its enrollment from 65 to 75. |
