As economic development activity in San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point continues to increase, Young Community Developers (YCD) has become the go-to organization for public agencies and local developers seeking to benefit neighborhood residents through the creation of new jobs and other economic growth. Its services focus on job-readiness training and job placement, but also include academic mentoring and support, assistance with overcoming barriers to employment, violence-prevention services, and housing development.
