Year Up’s intensive, one-year education and internship program prepares low-income young adults for careers in the technology sector. Students spend five months enrolled in a rigorous education program that teaches the fundamentals of desktop support, quality assurance, project management, sales operations, and cyber security. Year Up students also learn business communications skills, earn up to 24 credits through Foothill College, and get connected to support services. Graduates get placed in six-month paid internships with Year Up corporate partners; of the class of July 2016, 55% secured employment with their internship host companies and 93% are either employed or enrolled in college full-time.
