| Description | Responding to a dearth of women working in the music recording field, Women’s Audio Mission launched Girls on the Mic, providing free training in music composition, recording, and performance to girls in San Francisco and the East Bay. This grant enables Women’s Audio Mission to expand its work so it can benefit 1,600 underserved girls attending Oakland public schools with free media arts and music-production training in a professional studio setting. |
