Jewish environmental education center Urban Adamah provides annual fellowships in Jewish studies to young adults; operates an organic farm that donates its produce; runs a Jewish summer day camp; and contributes hundreds of volunteer hours to hunger organizations. Built as a working farm in an abandoned lot, Urban Adamah is moving to a permanent campus in 2016. This expanded facility will enable the center to meet growing demand for its programs and to run the West Coast’s only Jewish and kosher year-round retreat center.
