Upwardly Global (UpGlo) is dedicated to equipping skilled immigrants and refugees with the tools they need to rebuild their professional careers in the U.S. It fills an important gap in the workforce ecosystem by focusing on the two million skilled immigrants who arrive with significant education and experience yet who often can’t find work here or who can only secure extremely low-wage jobs. UpGlo provides job search skills training, career development coaching, connections to employers, and other services. This grant provides UpGlo with unrestricted funding for its work in San Francisco and Oakland.
