Just Congregations, an initiative of the Union for Reform Judaism, trains reform synagogues in community-organizing techniques, provides leadership opportunities, and guides synagogues to be vehicles of social change. Its statewide coalition, Reform California, works to build a constituency of faith communities to protect the vulnerable. It works on issues of voter participation and voter suppression and builds relationships with Bay Area state legislators. Reform California is participating in the national campaign to pass a clean Dream Act through Congress.
