| Description | New construction on San Francisco’s Treasure Island will generate several hundred construction-related jobs and 500 new housing units. The development plan mandates that 25% of these jobs and this housing be set aside for people who are economically disadvantaged. Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative, which develops and coordinates social services for formerly homeless and low-income residents on Treasure Island, provides job-placement and financial-capability programming to ensure that its clients can benefit from this opportunity. |
