The Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative brings essential community services such as a child-care center, a food pantry, and a computer lab to Treasure Island. The Initiative’s work ensures that the nearly 800 formerly homeless and low-income residents of the island receive the tools they require for economic advancement. Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative coordinates the implementation of the island’s housing mandate, operates its employment placement system, and offers financial education workshops, credit-remediation assistance programs, free tax-filing services, and an intensive six-month financial coaching program.
