| Description | The Posse Foundation, Inc. is redefining what “college-ready” looks like. It collaborates with public schools and community organizations to identify groups of racially diverse public high school students with academic and leadership potential. As a unit, it then provides these posses with pre-collegiate training, support throughout college, and assistance transitioning to careers. Posse scholars have a 90% college persistence and graduation rate. This grant provides startup funding for a San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Posse Foundation so that local students can benefit from the program. |
