Recognizing the schism that exists between Jews who practice Judaism and those who feel engaged by social justice, The Kitchen has created a community of Jewish professionals, young families, and LGBTQ Jews seeking a creative way to engage in Jewish ritual, progressive ideals, and social change. The Kitchen has pioneered the application of design principals in creating Jewish experiences, developing products and programs that curate Jewish practice. In 2016, it will expand its school, lead a trip to Israel, increase attendance, and launch a subscription box service that delivers tools for home ritual practice.
