Jarrel Phillips is collaborating with African American Art & Culture Complex to create Black:Home, a visual oral history project and an ode to San Francisco’s Black community and culture from past to present, archiving first-hand accounts and the living lore through words and movement. The stories will be told and presented in a book of oral history and portrait photography, augmented reality, and a mixed-media exhibition of film and photography.
