SFMade supports the vibrant segment of San Francisco’s manufacturing sector that employs a diverse cross-section of city residents to produce locally made products. Its Hiring Made Better program places low-income adults—often those facing significant barriers to employment—in jobs with local manufacturers. It concurrently assists manufacturers in implementing advancement opportunities for those same employees. Its YouthMade program places low-income youth in paid internships at these worksites.
