Science & Health Education Partnership

Program Area(s)
Description

The University of California, San Francisco’s Science and Health Education Partnership is collaborating with the San Francisco Unified School District’s Science Team to help elementary school teachers integrate science and English language arts instruction into their classrooms. The pilot project will develop a model science unit, train teachers, and then support them with co-teaching as they implement lessons. Through this approach, classroom teachers see master teachers working on site with their own students, introducing new concepts, and applying engaging teaching strategies.
