Founded in 2014, San Francisco Youth Theatre provides opportunities for children and youth to create and perform theatre projects. With partnerships at SFUSD, Mission Graduates and Boys and Girls Clubs, as well as the Red Poppy Art House in the Mission where the Theatre provides year-round skill building classes and workshops, more than 80% students served at partnering sites are low-income. A growing and thriving entity, Youth Theatre has also succeeded in providing bilingual classes and serving a program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students at Cesar Chavez School.
