| Description | In 2014, with skyrocketing rents and a teacher shortage, a San Francisco-wide coalition formed to discuss strategies for providing educators with access to affordable housing. Coalition members considered housing development, rental assistance, homeownership assistance, and housing counseling assistance strategies. In winter 2016, the Walter & Elise Haas Fund provided resources for a project manager who could coordinate this work. This grant continues funding that project management until a construction project manager can be brought on board. |
