| Description | San Francisco Teacher Residency recruits participants who are committed to teaching in urban schools and helps them with credential training. Five years after becoming teachers, 80% of San Francisco Teacher Residency graduates remain in teaching jobs — a rate over twice that of other beginning San Francisco Unified School District teachers. With this grant, San Francisco Teacher Residency will deepen its work with teaching academy schools; expand the pipeline that feeds its residency program; provide program graduates with school leadership opportunities; and share best practices to enhance teacher recruitment, preparation, and support. |
