SPUR is a broad-based civic organization that promotes good planning and good government in the Bay Area. It addresses a wide range of development issues that intersect with the Fund’s work in education, the arts, economic security, civic engagement, and leadership. Grounded in extensive research, its work facilitates serious cross-sector conversations on some of the area’s biggest issues, including the ever-widening access and opportunity gaps. SPUR’s expansion to San Jose and Oakland improves its ability to cover key issues on a regional scale.
