The San Francisco Mime Troupe’s distinctive style of political satire and physical theater gives teens the beneficial opportunity to express their frustrations, ideas, and values. Each spring the Troupe offers youth intensive theater training that culminates in productions and, in the fall, a smaller cadre of students creates and performs one-act plays. San Francisco Mime Troupe invites and respects students’ ideas, connecting participants in an ensemble built on collaboration and trust. Ninety percent of Mime Troupe Youth Theater participants come from low-income families.
