In 2016, Jewish Film Institute had its most successful year, reaching 40,000 ticket buyers with its summer festival, adding a Winterfest, expanding online content, and setting a record for new memberships and donations. Its programming continues to reach a wide audience, approximately 30% of whom are not Jewish. Efforts to further diversify its audience include special events for young adults, free screenings in senior centers and for inmates at San Quentin, and growing partnerships with other cultural and nonprofit partners.
