| Description | San Francisco Jazz Organization (SFJAZZ) offers several jazz education programs that serve the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) including Jazz in the Middle, which integrates lessons in music with American history. In 2017, SFJAZZ expanded Jazz in the Middle to reach every SFUSD middle school classroom and this grant helps fund the staffing required to manage that expansion. SFJAZZ will bring on three new administrative staff members in the 2017-18 school year, enabling it to serve 1,000 students in 35 classrooms. |
