| Description | San Francisco Jazz Organization (SFJAZZ) focuses two of its many education programs on the needs of San Francisco public middle school students. Jazz in the Middle connects jazz music and history to English language arts and social studies, with each series culminating in student creative projects. Through the Jazz in Session program, professional jazz musicians coach students in music classrooms and band rehearsals, providing invaluable support to classroom teachers and music directors. Jazz in Session musicians visit ten or more schools annually. |
