The San Francisco Interfaith Council amplifies the efforts of diverse faith leaders to house the homeless, advocate for policies to protect the vulnerable, and provide disaster training to their congregants. More than 120 clergy members meet monthly through the Council to share religious teachings related to social and economic justice. San Francisco Interfaith Council also convenes faith-based social service agencies, hosts disaster preparedness workshops, and coordinates a shelter that feeds and houses 100 homeless men for four months.
