San Francisco Housing Development Corporation is a long-standing community organization focused on fostering financial stability for people of color in San Francisco’s predominantly black neighborhoods of Bayview Hunters Point and the Western Addition. It focuses on four core program areas: financial empowerment, housing development, supportive services, and economic development. The organization is working to quadruple its housing portfolio, and its Financial Empowerment Center now benefits over 1,200 clients each year (a four-fold increase).
