San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music celebrates a wide spectrum of small ensemble performances from many cultures. Reaching out to new audiences, the group produces an annual day of free performances during which attendees can move between four venues within the Veteran’s Building and sample a broad cross-section of local talent. Panel discussions reflect on the Bay Area’s recent history in jazz, new, and classical music. This event provides a gateway for curious listeners across a broad range of income levels, encouraging them to engage more deeply with the Bay Area’s rich musical offerings.
