The mission of the San Francisco Education Fund is to increase the number of San
Francisco public school students prepared for college, careers, and civic responsibility. To achieve this mission, the Ed Fund coordinates and trains volunteers, convenes partners, awards grants, and analyzes data. Its elementary school literacy program places volunteers in struggling schools. Its tutoring program concentrates on helping middle school students with algebra. A high school program follows through to coordinate college-readiness efforts for students. The W&EHF supplies the Ed Fund with general operating support so that they can in turn bolster schools, classrooms, and students.
