| Description | Rising Sun Energy Center works along two primary fronts: it prepares hundreds of youth and adults in the Bay Area and Central Valley for careers in the solar, construction, and sustainability fields each year; and it delivers no-cost energy and water efficiency upgrades to thousands of households annually. This grant supports the organization’s pre-apprenticeship program that trains low-income adults in the East Bay — half of whom are female — for jobs in the construction and solar industries. |
