Ragged Wing Ensemble produces plays using a method in which every actor learns every role, and its engaging after-school program leads Oakland teens through the creation of original pieces. During a recent capital project, Ragged Wing Ensemble suspended its education program. Now, with the support of this grant, it seeks to re-establish it. Over a six-month period in 2018, the group’s founders will lead an intensive theater education program for teaching artists who are new to its program, prior to bringing ensemble theater classes to four or more Oakland public schools.
