Description

Public Advocates is a nonprofit law firm and advocacy organization that partners with grassroots organizations to push for strategic policy reform that addresses the systemic causes of poverty and racial discrimination in California. Much of its work focuses on educational equity — ensuring that all children have access to a quality education regardless of where they live, the color of their skin, their language, or their immigration status. The Fund provides Public Advocates with general operating support so it can develop policy and advocate in support of investment in public education and students’ access to prepared, effective teachers.
