| Description | Oakland Youth Chorus provides multilingual, multicultural music education to students in Oakland and Richmond, including, with Fund support, areas where neither families nor schools can afford the program’s full cost. The Chorus serves elementary, middle, and high school students throughout the academic year, both in and after school. Oakland Youth Chorus plans a modest expansion in 2015-16 in order to take on an additional 90 in-school students. Its services extend quality music instruction to otherwise marginalized members of the community. |
