| Description | Oakland Leaf Foundation fills a gap in services for East Oakland youth, reducing violence and bullying on schoolyards through the teaching of conflict-resolution skills and self-expression through the arts. It is now the lead agency for after-school programming at six public elementary and middle schools in East Oakland and Fruitvale, serving 800 youth after school and during the summer. Through Oakland Leaf, experienced artist-educators teach disciplines including computer-generated design and animation, expressive dance, hip hop, and mural-painting. |
