In growing partnership with Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), New Leaders’ hallmark residency program improves struggling schools by training principals to provide consistent, effective leadership. These principals prove crucial to efforts to reform schools and retain teachers. New Leaders has created teacher leadership programs for new, veteran, and mid-career teachers at OUSD. These programs aim to both strengthen collective leadership at school sites and to build a stronger in-district principal pipeline.
