Description | The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading advocate for the economic security and respect of nannies, housekeepers, and caregivers. These workers are among the most vulnerable and undervalued workers in our economy, with a quarter earning less than their state’s minimum wage and only two in a hundred receiving any form of employment benefit. Despite this, caregiving is the fastest growing occupation in the country. This grant supports the NDWA’s work in California, where up to a quarter of the country’s domestic workers live. In 2018, NDWA will work to expand the reach of its programming, enforce protections for domestic workers, and develop comprehensive online training. |
