Oakland’s Museum of Children’s Arts (MOCHA) provides standards-based arts education to 7,500 East Bay students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade annually. This grant invests in MOCHA’s work in three public schools in East and West Oakland that could not otherwise afford to pay for services. At these sites, MOCHA provides professional development in the arts to 40 teachers and works with approximately 1,000 students. This organization has a broad reach in the East Bay, a good reputation for partnering with schools and other agencies, and a well-designed arts curriculum.
