Moishe House

Program Area(s)
Description

Moishe House helps single, Jewish college graduates to create dynamic Jewish communities. Applying the group’s model, three to five housemates host weekly programs for their peers and, in exchange, they receive a modest rent subsidy and program budget. Through hackathons, pride Shabbats, discussions on racism, and more, Moishe House residents and participants create a low-barrier entry point for Jewish 20-somethings. This grant supports the operation of the six existing Bay Area Moishe Houses and an exploration of creating more.
