Legal Aid at Work

Program Area(s)
Description

Legal Aid at Work (LAAW) is a legal services organization that advances economic opportunity for low-income people in the workplace. It improves access to critical workplace protections for vulnerable low-income families including the Work and Family Program, which expands Paid Family Leave, and the Wage Protection Program, which helps workers recover unpaid wages. Combining direct services and policy expertise, LAAW creates a positive feedback loop that grounds systems and policy changes in the realities of the lives of low-income workers and their families — people who thereby gain a voice in reducing barriers to their own economic opportunity.
