Description

Starting a food business continues to be one of the most viable ways low-income women of color and immigrant women can earn a living and build wealth. The cost of opening a restaurant in the Bay Area, however, continues to be a major barrier to success. La Cocina mitigates this problem by offering the only nonprofit incubator for food businesses in the region. It provides a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and extensive business services, both helping to close the women’s wealth gap.
