| Description | Composer, musician and instrument maker Victoria Shen will collaborate with Kronos Quartet to create and perform a new piece of concert music. Unfurling the Scroll is a platform to explore new creative techniques and performance concepts and the idea of the scroll: how it pertains to memory, knowledge, and the actual physical motif on the end of each instrument of the string quartet; and the relationship of the scroll’s concentric, circular form to the historic Edison cylinders. |
