Choreographer Joe Goode combines text and humor with dance, using real stories from community members to drive his creative process. While on a national tour, he conducted interviews with combat veterans, from which he created a staged work that was warmly received. To continue the important work of gathering and sharing veterans’ stories, he created The Resilience Project, which he has conducted with veterans in different parts of the United States. Now bringing The Resilience Project to the Bay Area, Goode will interview and lead workshops for 40 combat veterans and perform the resulting work with and for them and their families at The Contemporary Jewish Museum. Admission will be free.
